IN THE LOT ET GARONNE, SOUTH-WEST FRANCE.
Lying to the South of the Dordogne is a most beautiful region of glorious sunflowers, tobacco plantations and walnut groves. The river Lot winds its way through rolling hills, with meadows and forests. This is a diverse region, with inland river beaches and pretty bastide towns, wonderful night-markets and castles perched on cliff tops. The area is famous for wine, foie gras, truffles and fine cuisine, set amid rolling countryside.

The Cachette and surrounding area are both stunning, and we've had a fantastic time with plenty of time still left. The weather has been incredible, and the pool much needed at times. The cycling is also some of the best I've ever experienced. Thank you ever so much again - it's been the perfect holiday so far!

"Wow - felt totally relaxed and at home here from the moment I arrived. Garden and pool kept the kids busy for hours and the DVD library and X-box were a godsend in the heat of the day. So much more to explore, Bridoire was a highlight, and the pretty village of Pujols with the markets was just beautiful. Can't wait to come again. - thanks to Angela for making us feel at home."

La Cachette is a lovely spacious place to stay and the surrounding countryside is perfect with great local restaurants. Places we visited included St Emilion. Bergerac, Pujols and some fabulous water lily gardens
