Local markets & night markets
Night markets
Night markets are great fun in the summer and they are held in lots of villages in the Lot and Dordogne. You find yourself a place at one of the tables and walk around the different stalls to choose what you'd like to eat, and then choose the accompaniments, e.g. chips, salad etc. There's usually great local food and wine for sale and often entertainment, such as live music and craft stalls, so there's something for the whole family.
There are markets on most days throughout the summer, including: Pujols (13 kms); Casillones, Castelmoron-sur-Lot, Miramont-de-Guyenne, St Foy la Grande, Eymet, Issigeac and Ste. Livrade. Most finish by lunchtime and are very popular, often selling tempting produce and regional specialities.
